The Seaside High School`s Fall Concert which was held on October 19th and is a yearly event that consists of what the music department has to offer to the students here at Seaside High. The classes that participate in the Fall Concert are Band, Orchestra, Choir, and Drumline. It's an end of the quarter open house for their parents to see what they have learned so far. Vanessa Williams, a sophomore student at Seaside High School that has been in the music program for two years said, “I`m always nervous before concert day.” Knowing that it is one of the first BIG events that the Music Department has especially in the beginning of the school year that will include every ensemble class that is offered.

Already having a background of music made the choice of being apart of the Music Department easier. Liking how everyone connects, growing a tight bound which is always uplifting. Something that encourages them to try their very best is the attitude of the class as a whole in general. Vanessa Williams before her performance hangs out with her friends, does warm ups, or runs over the songs. Another student named Alessandra Pivintado, a junior in her second year in the music program talks about her experiences firsthand. First in band but now in Drumline Pivintado was hesitant in coming back for the next year due to A-G requirements. But if you like something, why stop. Something that Pivintado does to calm herself is stare at a blank spot or person before the performance but she always asks if she can stares or apologies afterwards. Even though there were some issues like messing up playing at the wrong beat it can happen. “IT HAPPENS OKAY” said Pivintado. More struggles as the year is flowing we get to perform music that we learn that the teachers teach us.
